Work About Playground Contact Sarson\nA SYMPHONY OF FLAVORS A contemporary restaurant identity created for Park Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur, balancing North Indian warmth with a refined, fusion-led dining experience. Overview Park Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur planned to launch an upscale restaurant within its five-star property. Designed for hotel guests, highway travellers and local diners, the restaurant needed to feel sophisticated and contemporary while remaining warm, familiar and distinctly Indian. The central idea Although the menu brought together Indian, Mughlai, Asian and Italian influences, the identity remained culturally rooted. Sarson became the unifying idea—a familiar Indian reference expressed through a contemporary visual system. The challenge A diverse menu risked creating an unfocused brand. The challenge was to establish one clear cultural anchor that could unite multiple cuisines without making the restaurant feel overly traditional, generic or disconnected from its five-star setting. The logo The logo was designed to feel minimal, luxurious and conceptually connected to the name. A fluid wordmark brings warmth and handcrafted character, while the mustard flower creates an immediate connection to Sarson without making the identity feel literal or rustic. Colour system Typography Kugile gives the identity an expressive and crafted personality, while Antique Olive introduces clarity and structure across supporting communication. Together, they balance regional warmth with modern refinement. Kugile Antique Olive Why Sarson? Among the four proposed names, Sarson created the strongest connection to North India. Its association with mustard fields, Punjabi cuisine and familiar regional flavours gave the fusion-led restaurant a memorable Indian foundation. The brief The original brief called for an identity representing a Mughlai-led menu with Asian and Italian influences. The brand needed to feel premium but approachable, combining modern elegance with the richness and sensory character of Indian dining. My role As Brand Head and sole creative owner, I independently led the project from concept to execution. I developed the logo, visual direction, colour system, typography and brand applications, carrying the identity consistently across every touchpoint. Outcome Project Credits
